FROM THE DESK OF THE PUBLISHERDear Fuquay-Varina Resident,Welcome to the inaugural issue of Suburban Living magazine - Fuquay- Varina. I recently moved to the area, and immediately saw a need for a way to share information within the community. Having been in publishing for over 20 years, I went with what I know. This is your new magazine.The magazine will publish bi-monthly, and be mailed throughout Fuquay- Varina and Willow Spring every time it prints. You don’t have to pay for a subscription, and you don’t have to leave your home or office to receive it.If you agree that Fuquay-Varina needed it’s own magazine, rather than being on a page or two of one of these other magazines that claim to cover Fuquay-Varina, then you really have one person to thank for bringing it to Fuquay-Varina, ahead of what was originally scheduled.I started the same type of magazine in Holly Springs in the summer of 2014 with intentions to do a Fuquay-Varina magazine mid-2015. Shortly after the second Holly Springs issue printed, I got a call from the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce Director of Member Services Lynanne Fowle. She asked me if I would consider publishing a magazine for Fuquay-Varina. I couldn’t wait to get started. Lynanne didn’t just bring the magazine to Fuquay-Varina, but was instrumental with content and writing throughout the magazine.The magazine is filled with editorial about Fuquay-Varina, and the general interest articles are all written by professionals in Fuquay-Varina. This is your magazine, and feel free to get involved with it. Send in editorial ideas and pictures, and don’t forget to go online and vote for your favorites in the Best Of Fuquay-Varina category featured for that issue.This issue also contains the new Annual Chamber of Commerce Directory. Within the directory, you’ll find local businesses that have goods and services to offer to Fuquay-Varina. Support local businesses, of course don’t forget to tell them that you got their number from Suburban Living!It’s the holidays, and soon to be 2015.
