Leadership Fuquay-Varina welcomes the class of 2019!
This program aims to grow a sustainable, diverse network of citizens that develop and maintain a broad awareness of their community assets and local government infrastructure. Graduates have a deeper appreciation for the potential of civic and municipal leaders to make significant contributions to their towns, their fellow citizens, and their families. They have taken a deeper look at their own strengths and weaknesses and learned what attributes help distinguish great leaders from mediocre ones. They are champions of commitment and responsibility to the future success and growth within the community of Fuquay-Varina.

Are you making customers for life? Start now with help from David Aaker!
David is an internationally recognized motivational keynote speaker, trainer, and author in customer service, leadership, and communication. David has been in the Chamber Management and non-profit training arena for over 36 years. In May of 2009, David was named “Among America’s Best Speakers” by Sky Radio on American Airlines, and was featured on 42,000 flights worldwide.
He is also a published author in two books. “Success Simplified”, a new anthology of 24 nationally selected speakers and “50 Unforgettable Speakers,” both published by Insight Publishing. Those attending his session on customer service will have the opportunity to purchase “Success Simplified” as part of their ticket price.
We are grateful to have the opportunity to bring such an incredible voice to Fuquay-Varina! He will be speaking on October 29 at the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center, with tickets available for purchase soon. In David’s own words, the value of his presentation lies in the practical ideas & tools that people will leave with that day. The information he provides affords attendees the opportunity to turn up the volume on the importance of ensuring that each and every one of their employees are directors of first impressions and key to helping a business develop customers for life.
We’re getting in the Christmas spirit early!
The kids may have only just gone back to school, but planning for this year’s Annual Christmas Parade is already in full swing! This event, like Fuquay-Varina as a whole, has grown year after year. In an effort to ensure we continue to produce a parade that is safe and fun for all participants and spectators, we are working with a committee and polling past participants to determine what works and what might need to be adjusted in order for this event to be a continued success. The information we receive will help us determine if the changes we are considering are in line with the needs of participants and the community. We are looking forward to making this the best Annual Fuquay-Varina Christmas Parade yet!
It only takes a MINUTE…
We are pleased to announce the recent launch of a new project called “Member Minute!” We want to make sure we’re keeping up with our members and all the exciting things that are happening for them. We also want to help spread the word when they’ve got something to share. All our members have to do is share “good news” about their business. We will compile what we receive and send it out in a monthly mailing to all our Chamber members. Our first few issues have been a great success and we are looking forward to keeping them coming!
Are you a Chamber member? If so, is your business celebrating an anniversary? Have you received a new accreditation or won an award? Has your business moved or opened a new location? Do you have a new hire? Are you involved in a charitable partnership in our community? This is the type of “good news” we want to share!
Email to INFO@FUQUAY-VARINA to send us your “good news.
