Bob Barker Company hosted their annual Angel Tree Christmas party in December. This year they were able to provide gifts to over 50 children on behalf of their incarcerated parents during this special holiday season.
The party took place on Tuesday, December 12. Along with receiving a gift from their incarcerated parent, Bob Barker gave gifts and stockings to the children and treated them to cookies, festive music, crafts, and games. Therapy dogs were also on hand to interact with the children and Santa Claus made a special appearance.
In 2009, the company established the Bob Barker Company Foundation and has granted over $2 million to more than 50 community-based projects that focus solely on reducing recidivism. “Over 70% of offenders will recidivate within three years of being released from prison,” said Robert Barker, president. “Through Prison Fellowship, the Angel Tree program gives us a unique opportunity to serve as a support system so children won’t follow their parents down the same destructive road to incarceration.”
