Bellchase Commercial Center—Just Announced
In early August, the Town of Fuquay-Varina announced plans for a new retail and commercial center—currently named Bellchase—to be built on 100 acres along Hwy 401. Early details for the project include “an 800,000-square-foot, open-air retail and commercial shopping center.” Construction is expected to begin later this year and, when completed, the center is expected to create “up to $150 million of new capital investment and approximately 1,300 new jobs.” The development proposes a “multi-occupant mixed-use shopping town center development consisting of office and higher-end retail uses constructed over several phases.”
Little Portugal
Little Portugal NC restaurant started as the home-based business of Rosemary and Helder Pereira and opened over the summer at 736 N. Main St. They are a “churrasco, market, eatery” offering weekly specials, seasonal products, and a menu featuring authentic Portuguese dishes. They’re open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Check them out on Facebook!
Midtown Subdivision—Proposed
A preliminary subdivision plan is in review for Midtown Subdivision, to be located at 313 Railroad Street. This townhome development features 53 lots with 5.54 acres of open space on 10.36 acres.
8205 Fayetteville Road Commercial—Proposed
A site plan is in review for a 2.54-acre parcel along Hwy 401, formerly Woods at Fayetteville, at 8205 Fayetteville Road. The site includes a 900-square-foot restaurant with 28 parking spaces.
Infinite Self Storage
A site plan has been approved for Infinite Self-Storage, to be located at 414 Judd Parkway SW. The site includes a one-story 17,250-square-foot storage building and a two-story 90,547-square-foot storage building on 14.70 acres.
Mavis Discount Tire—Proposed
A site plan is in review for Mavis Discount Tire, to be located at 1259 E Broad Street. The proposed building will be 6,729 square feet with 30 parking spaces on 0.914 acres.
Tilghman Industrial—Proposed
A site plan is in review for Tilghman Industrial, to be located at 1251 NC Hwy 42. Phase 1 of the proposed development includes seven 60’ x 60’ attached industrial units and one 400’ x 200’ industrial building with 172 parking spaces on a portion of the 32.51-acre lot.
Five Points Animal Hospital—Proposed
A new veterinary clinic, called Five Points Animal Hospital, is being proposed for 2021 N. Main Street. The site plan includes a 6,775-square-foot building with 31 parking spaces on 1.049 acres.
